The Significance of World Environment Day
World Environment Day is the biggest international day for the environment. The theme this year is Generation Restoration, asking us all to work to restore the Earth for future generations. We all, as individuals and organisations, must play our part. Regent Group is working with Zerofy, a sustainability software platform and advisory service, to evaluate how sustainable our London operations are and see how we can improve our carbon footprint and waste management.
As a business working in impactful investment as well as education and economy-building, we are also looking for opportunities to make a positive change, by investing in renewable energy in less developed countries, for example. Regent Group’s collaboration with Zerofy is a crucial step in our commitment to sustainability. By assessing and improving our carbon footprint and waste management, we aim to set a benchmark for other organisations.
I would like to congratulate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on hosting this World Environment Day. I was proud to visit the Kingdom last month as part of GREAT FUTURES, a delegation of 450 of the UK’s most creative and innovative companies, working to increase trade between the UK and KSA. To secure the future for people and the planet, we need to work together.
I look forward to seeing what Regent Group and our partners – present and future – can achieve. Together, we can make significant strides towards a more sustainable and restored Earth. This World Environment Day, let’s commit to Generation Restoration and work collectively for a better future.
